About

Written By: Ron

I was recently contacted by Ken Patterson and Jim Britt.  They asked if I had any interest in being a contributor to their new syndicated show, “KenTheContractor.com” and I of course said, “Sure!”  Hence, this site, “Ron the Tech Guru”.  I will be adding home & technology related tidbits from time-to-time.  You can post your thoughts and questions here.  You may hear your questions on the air!

My newspaper columns have been circulating around the world since the first of the century. I have written articles for Microsoft as well as other news media.  Follow that up with working in IT for NTELOS Communications, designing and teaching software courses, speaking at local events, supporting local users, designing and maintaining web sites, a few repair jobs and you have my computer experience.

Please contact me if you would be interested in having me speak to your group or provide training for you and your employees.  Those are my favorites and specialties.

Starting in 2010, I started a call in talk show with Jim Britt of WSVA radio (AM 550).  If you find yourself in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia tune in at 10:00am on the third Monday each month.  Call in and let me see if I can help you out…or you can always email me.

I have a degree in Physics & Geophysical Sciences and Secondary Education. I have written software training manuals for the Community College system. I am also a certified Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructor, which means that I have the certification from Microsoft to teach and write manuals for their Office Suite of applications.  Training computer courses and writing about them are my favorites.

I have taught computer, public speaking, leadership training and software courses as an adjunct instructor with the Virginia community college, technical schools in the area and NTELOS Communications.

I hope to see you around the net and I hope you are listening to KenTheContractor.com with me!
